Stop Motion Project

This stop motion animation is composed of cut out colored paper. We hand-drew the characters and objects and placed them on green and blue construction paper. We drew out several character movements (such as the walking) to make the animation look more fluid. The transitions between scenes include written cut out words so that the audience can better understand the sequence of events. We also added sound effects to enhance the characters’ reactions. We chose to focus on staging and appeal as our two principles of animation for this piece. We set up the scene by having the main character walk in and then meet the balloon man. The balloon man looks very unique and charasmatic, just handing numerous balloons to the main character.
